The highs and lows at Rapperholic 2025
Multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie is aptly nicknamed Landlord due to his remarkable achievements and dominance in the music industry.
His impressive body of work and numerous accolades justify this esteemed title, showcasing his exceptional talent and influence.
All of this, and more was what the Happy Day artiste brought to the stage at this year’s Rapperholic concert held at Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Christmas Day.
Since, 2012, Rapperholic concert has become the official get together party for SarkNatives and last Wednesday was no exception.
Even after midnight when the headline artiste was still missing in action, patrons soaked themselves with performances by Kweku Smoke, Wendy Shay, Lasmid, among others.
The atmosphere in the auditorium shifted into high gear with the arrival of comedian and content creator, Aka Ebenezer, also known as Dr Likee.
His task was straightforward: to introduce King Sark onto the stage. He delivered, bringing the house down with thunderous applause.
The moment Sarkodie's voice boomed after the intro, the crowd went wild, erupting into a frenzy.
"Put It On God ft. AlorG was the song that ushered Sarkodie on stage. For more than two hours, patrons danced alongside back to back performances of songs such as Violence ft Kweku Smoke, remix of You and I ft Olivetheboy, Lavida Local ft Lasmid.
The featured artistes joined him on stage to perform the songs. But of course, the night couldn’t have been complete without ‘Original’.
It was quite admirable hearing the crowd chant lyrics of the song word for word. Little wonder Sarkodie had described it as official anthem for Rapperholic and SarkNatives.
The night saw performances of hit songs such as Adonai, Highest, Have Mercy, Otan, Adonai, Illuminati among others.
Despite high ticket prices, fans turned out in full force, filling the venue and creating an electric atmosphere.
The concert featured a star-studded lineup of Ghanaian performers Efya, Black Sherif, Medikal, Wendy Shay, Lasmid, Kweku Smoke, Kweku Flick, Mr Drew, King Promise, Xlimkid, King Malaji, and many more.
And from international Cameroonian-American singer sensation Libianca also performed, delighting fans with her global hit “People.”
Adding to the excitement was unexpected appearance by content creator, Ebo Noah, who had previously predicted a catastrophic Christmas flood on Christmas day. Instead of being in the ark at the time, he was with Sarkodie on Rapperholic stage.
He appeared on stage in sackcloth, spicing up the whole Rapperholic experience.
The event attracted a mix of media personalities, influencers, and content creators, including Serwaa Amihere, Gisela, Kojo Manuel, Ama Burland, Anita Akuffo, actress Benedicta Gafah, among others.
The Rapperholic event was a resounding success, with the energy and performance exceeding expectations.
However, a few logistical challenges prevented it from being a flawless experience. The venue, Grand Arena, felt overcrowded, particularly in the VIP section, while the regular ticket area was extremely congested.
This led to some attendees stepping out to catch their breath and enjoy the atmosphere outside.
