Timmy Love gives classic ‘Forever Young’ a reggae makeover

Jamaican singer Timmy Love has released a fresh reggae rendition of the timeless classic “Forever Young”, originally penned by Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd, and Frank Mertens of Alphaville.

Infused with warm Caribbean rhythms, the new version blends the song’s message of hope and timelessness with the soulful pulse of reggae.

Hailing from Saint Mary Parish in Jamaica, Timmy Love draws deeply from the island’s rich musical heritage.

His performances are emotionally charged, emphasizing love, hope, and the vision of a brighter future.

With his reggae interpretation of “Forever Young”, he is introducing this beloved anthem to a new generation, giving it a distinctly Jamaican voice that is already gaining traction on radio.

Inspired by legends such as Michael Jackson and Bob Marley, Timmy Love has spent decades refining a style that fuses reggae with elements of R&B, hip hop, and pop.

His career began in November 1996 with the release of his debut album Light Up Your Heart, followed by projects including My Inner Feelings (1999), Buss the Place (2001), A Little Time With You (2002), and Cool Water Rhythm (2005), featuring collaborations with artists like Ghost, Tony Curtis, Hero, Singer J, and Teflon.

The release of “Forever Young” coincides with his latest album, Time of Your Life, a record that marks a clear evolution toward pop influences while staying true to his reggae roots.

The album also includes the standout single “The Greatest”, further showcasing his dynamic and evolving sound.

Over the years, Timmy Love has earned a reputation as a captivating international performer, touring extensively across Africa, Japan, and the United States.
