Mono desks and canopies for Cape Coast Presbyterian Basic School
The St Paul's Presbyterian Church in Cape Coast has presented 30 mono desks and three rooms of canopies to the Cape Coast Presbyterian Basic School.
Making the presentation, the Second Minister of the church, Reverend Benjamin Ofori Twum, who represented the Cape Coast District Minister said the donation was in response to an appeal made by the school to the church for support.

The desks were donated to the junior high school (JHS) to help solve its furniture problem while the canopies were handed over to the primary school to assist in decongesting the classrooms in adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
Rev Twum said the donation was a demonstration of the church's commitment to the school.
The Headteacher of the JHS, Ms Vivian Boadu, said the presentation of the furniture had come at a time when there was an urgent need to adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols by ensuring social distancing in the classrooms.
She said the large numbers of students in the school had compelled them to take over a two-unit classroom block belonging to the Mensah-Sarbah School nearby which was not in use to accommodate the JHS students.
Ms Boadu said the school's staff common room had also been converted into a classroom to ease congestion in the classrooms.
She appealed for more furniture as a matter of urgency and in the long-term a new classroom block for the school.
The Headteacher of the Presby Basic School, Ms Regina Ohenewa Adofo, appealed for more classrooms for the school, water and a fence to prevent thieves and intruders.
The headteachers expressed their appreciation to the church for the support.
The Chairman of the Education Committee of the church, Mr Eric Arthur, said the church was committed to the development of their schools and would continue to support them with basic needs that would help improve both teaching and learning.
