The special guest of honour, Dr Ezekiel Nii Noye Nortey, in his speech, said raising children was the task of both parents and teachers and elderly people in the communities.

He said many children have become wayward nowadays because some parents failed to do their work.

He made reference to the Scripture, which says: “He that spareth his rod hateth his son, but he that loveth him chastenth him betimes” and advised parents not to always use the cane anytime their children went wrong but rather use various forms of tools to reform the children.

Dr Nortey advised parents to know their children and the form of punishment they must give them, adding: “It is not a one-cap-fits-all approach to instilling discipline in our children.”

The Headmaster of the school, Mr Bernard Ofosu Yeboah, in his welcome address, said the idea to have a graduation was conceived in 2019 and was scheduled to come off in August 2020, but then the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world and schools were closed down, making it impossible to hold the graduation then.

However, when schools were allowed to resume and great steps were taken to ensure the safety of the pupils, students and staff, the school had lived to see the dream come true.

Pupils of the school entertained their guests and teachers with exciting performances such as poetry recitals, cultural display and cadet parade.

As part of the ceremony, the Junior Graphic Fan Club of the school was inaugurated, with the new executive members of the club promising to give of their best.

Ama Amo, a kindergarten pupil, was cheered on by parents and guests when she recited a French poem: “Mon Ecole”.
