St. Paul’s Lutheran Sch. unveils new mobile app
St Paul’s Lutheran School in Accra has launched a mobile application which will enable both parents and pupils to access information from the school and also pay fees.
The application will enable students to access their time table and also give them the platform to seek permission to be absent from school in case of an emergency.
At the launch of the mobile application, the Headmistress of the school, Mrs Caroline Oduro, said the new software would also enable parents to have access to their children’s exam results as well as reduce the stress of queuing in the school to purchase supplies for their children.

She said additionally, parents would be sent alerts about the activities in the school and also make enquiries about admissions for their children.
The application can be downloaded in the Playstore for android users, Appstore for apple phone users and Window store for parents with Windows phones.
“The school’s management wants to go paperless, hence, it has a system where children who attend school each day will clock in and out after closing. With this parents can, therefore, call to verify if their children were in school or not,” Mrs Oduro said.
“The application also allows you to monitor whatever goes on in the classroom while school is in section,” she added.
The headmistress thanked parents for showing interest in the mobile application and promised that management would make the application effective so that both parents and students could easily access it without problems.
A parent and the Chairman of the Parents School Conference (PSC), Mr Benjamin Essien, said the introduction of the app was a good initiative since he would be able to access whatever he wanted concerning his child’s performance in school, make any payments, as well as communicate with the school’s authorities without stress.
