Ace-Liam: Ghana's 1-year-old art prodigy aims to break a Guinness World Record

Guinness World Records has given the green light to a one-year-old Ghanaian art prodigy, Ace-Liam, who is attempting to shatter the existing record as the Youngest Male Artist.

The ambitious toddler, who began painting at the tender age of six months, is set to make history by becoming the youngest male artist globally. The current record holder, Dante Lamb, achieved the feat at the age of three in 2003.

Ace-Liam's mother, Chantelle Eghan, shared her excitement on TikTok, inviting followers to witness this groundbreaking attempt. A special fine art exhibition started on Friday, December 15, at the Museum of Science and Technology, where Ace-Liam will showcase his artistic talents in a bid to secure the coveted Guinness World Record title.

Ms. Eghan said she was inspired by Hilda Baci's cookathon record which motivated her to file an application to Guinness World Record for her attempt. She disclosed that the application involves a lot of financial commitment.

To qualify for the record, Ace-Liam has to sell his works during the exhibition and also receive some significant media coverage. The young prodigy's artistic journey will be documented on his social media handles, offering a glimpse into the creative process that has led to his 13th painting.

The exhibition, running from December 16 to January 21, 2024, promises to be a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts and supporters to witness the extraordinary talent of this one-year-old artist.

Ace-Liam's journey challenges the conventional age limits associated with artistic achievements, adding a remarkable chapter to Ghana's cultural landscape.

He is the second Ghanaian who is attempting a World Record this month with journalist Afua Asantewaa Aduonum also set to undertake an ambitious singing marathon (singathon) lasting between 117 to 120 hours.
