Addressing the closing ceremony, the Executive Director of NVTI, Mr Bismark Amponsah, said there was the need to change the face of vocational education in the county to reduce unemployment, stressing that “we must see vocational education as the best opportunity to boost industrial development in the country.

He said knowledge was power, and so there was the need to make vocational education a national priority by investing in and resourcing vocational training institutes in the areas of equipment, infrastructure and human resource development.

Mr Amponsah called on the instructors to put the skills and competency acquired to good use to enhance effective teaching and learning in the various vocational institutions.

The Head of Training and Development Department (TDD) of the NVTI, Madam Phillibert Aba Nkrumah, said about 120 vocational training institute instructors had already been trained in instructional techniques in the southern sector of the country since the programme started three months ago.
