Appianyinasehene BECE candidates celebrated at first Akwasidae
The Appianyinasehene of Ashanti Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Nana Kwanin Kwanfo II, has marked the first Akwasidae celebration in grand style. The milestone was highlighted by the presentation of special awards to the best 2024 BECE candidates within the Juaben Municipality.
As part of the initiative, students who attain single-digit aggregates in the BECE will be awarded annually with special packages.
Any female student who scored an aggregate of 6 received GH₵3,000 and other goodies. Students with aggregates of 8 were awarded GH₵2,000 each along with goodies, while five students who attained an aggregate of 9 received GH₵1,500 each and additional items.
Helina Asiedua Acquah from Atia MA JHS was adjudged the overall best student.
John Mpoposuo, the Siso for the Kubease Circuit representing the Municipal Education Director, expressed gratitude to the Appianyinasehene for the initiative rolled out by the Appianyinase Foundation.
The Appianyinasehene explained that the initiative was inspired by the Otumfuo Education Fund.
"The foundation was inspired by the Otumfuo Education Fund. We are doing this to complement the brilliance of the Asantehene's laudable initiative," said the Appianyinasehene.
