Seminar on financial management for schools
To ensure proper financial management in the various second-cycle institutions in the Brong Ahafo Region, the Regional Education Directorate has organised a day’s workshop in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES) Cost Centre Managers and other stakeholders in the region.
The Brong Ahafo Regional Director of Education, Dr George Adjei-Henneh, explained that the purpose of the workshop was to sensitise participants to the need to abide strictly by all financial regulations to avoid being summoned before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

According to Dr Adjei-Henneh, “life before the PAC is not a comfortable one, hence there is no need to wait till you appear before the PAC before things are put right.”

He disclosed that 30 out of the 70 institutions in the region were invited to face the PAC in Kumasi on April 29 and 30 this year, while another 30 would be invited soon.
