At least one person has been confirmed dead and 30 others trapped in a mining pit at Tarkwa Nsuaem in the Western region, it has been reported
Accra-based Joy FM reported Monday that two people were conformed injured in the early Monday morning disaster.
A search and rescue mission is currently underway, the report noted, adding that the area has been cordoned off by the police.
