The items are estimated at GHC32,000 . While the ultra sound machine was meant to provide early diagnoses of cases to facilitate treatment and recovery of cases, the incubator was to improve the health of premature babies born at the hospital.

The Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese of Methodist Church, Rt. Rev. Christopher Nyarko Andam, who received the items on behalf of the hospital expressed their profound gratitude to the members for their gesture.

He said as a church, they were obliged to provide the spiritual guidance to the laity to lead them into the kingdom of God.

He said providing the needed medical guidance to enhance productivity and income generation were also their prime concern, hence establishing the hospital over two decades ago.

“The hospital was growing very fast and attracting a lot of clients, that is why we need the  support of others in terms of medical equipment, suppliers and human capital  to meet the demands of our cherished clients” he said.

He said the items would enhance quality health care delivery of the hospital and also induce clients at the environs to seek for early medical care to enhance productivity and income generation.

Earlier, Mr. Augustine Kofi Opoku who donated the items on behalf of the Calvary Methodist Church in Hamburg assured that it was the beginning of a bond between their Church and the Ankaase Hospital.

He said they were motivated to improve the facility of the hospital to enable it address the health care needs of the ordinary Ghanaian.

“We have recognised that the Ankaase Methodist Church was growing, hence the need to support it in diverse ways to enhance quality health care needs of the people” he noted.
