BNI releases NPP's Captain Koda (retd) from custody

The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has released Captain Edmund Koda (retired), head of the security detail of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Captain Koda had been in BNI custody since Thursday over his alleged role in the invitation of three retired South African police officers to train security personnel of the party.
Lawyer and Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Mr Samuel Atta Akyea confirmed the release on Monday in interview with Accra based Joy FM.
Capt Koda was said to have fallen ill whilst in the BNI custody.
