GyeboNee, Emmanuel Oppong, Charles Oklu and Nana Adu Ofori have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime and stealing.

They all pleaded not guilty on both charges.

The court, presided over by Mr James Kojo Bota, granted them bail in the sum of GH₵2,000 with a surety each.

A bench warrant has been issued for one Otu who is at large.

The facts of the case, as presented by Inspector Victor Dosoo, are that Logosu is a manager of Techno Phones in Accra.

According to Inspector Dosoo, on March 22, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange, Logosu was driving on his way home when Otu hit the driver’s side of the car and told Logosu he has a flat tyre.

Mr Dosoo said Logosu, therefore, stopped to check the tyre.

Inspector Dosoo said GyeboNee quickly rushed into the vehicle, picked Logosu’s black bag containing a laptop, driver’s licence, National Health Insurance card, Voter ID card, three modems and a bunch of keys, after which Oppong, Oklu and Otu bolted.

The prosecutor said on March 23, 2016, Logosu reported the case to the police and that led to the arrest of GyeboNee, Oklu and Ofori.

During investigations, Ofori confessed having bought a laptop from GyeboNee for GH₵350 but added that he was not aware that it was stolen, the prosecutor stated.

Mr Dosoo said Oklu confessed he received GH₵12 from GyeboNee after the sale of the laptop and the investigations also revealed that Oppong threw the bunch of keys and ID cards into a gutter.

GyeboNee also said he received GH₵50 as his share from the sale of the laptop.

According to the prosecutor, the laptop has been formatted, resulting in the loss of some of Logosu’s documents.

The prosecutor stated investigations were still on-going.
