Reverend Eric Adama Doku, the Tema Manhean District  Minister of the church who swore the seven-member executive into office, also tasked them to focus on helping the church to grow.

Rev. Doku was assisted by Rev. Eddie Mensah, Kpone District Minister and Rev. Charles Amarkwei, the Presbytery Chaplain of YAF.

They will serve a two-year term.

The Young Adults Fellowship was formed by the Presbyterian Church to address the challenges of the church members aged between 30 and 40 years and retain such people in the church.

Furthermore, the group serves as a platform for the church to tap its human resource and manpower to promote the church’s ministry, discipleship and administration.

The immediate past Ga Presbytery President, Mr Franklin Sowa, said under his tenure, the group initiated various training and capacity-building programmes to empower members. They also instituted annual thanksgiving services, retreats and fun and family day activities. They also embarked on hospital evangelism  as a way of spreading the gospel.

The new President of the group, Mr Cephas Adjei Mensah, commended his predecessor for  working tirelessly to lay a good foundation for the group, saying the time had come, not only to sustain it, but also to build upon it and take YAF to another level.

"With unity of purpose and with God’s guidance and direction, I have no doubt that we can achieve much," he said.

The National President of YAF, Dr Lawrence Ofori Boadu, urged all to rally behind the elected leaders to ensure effective implementation of their programmes and activities.
