Attendance
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was among dignitaries who thronged the Professor Adu Boahen Park at Juaben last Sunday to observe the well-attended ceremony. In black and white dress code prescribed for the ceremony, the Otumfuo bore the standard of the traditional kente cloth.
Also present were the Juabenhene, Daasebre Otuo Siriboe II, some traditional leaders, and members of the clergy. The Service was performed by the Methodist Church Ghana, administered by Most Rev. Dr Paul K. Boafo, the Presiding Bishop, and Most Reverend Prof. Emmanuel K. Asante, a past Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church.
They both reminded the people that death was part of human existence and that what is more important was the quality of life one lived, describing Nana Akwaamaa’s leadership style worthy of emulation, and called other Queen mothers to emulate the late Juabenhemaa to bring peace and development into their communities.
