GCB thanks Ga Mantse for support

The Managing Director (MD) of GCB Bank, Kofi Adomakoh, has paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, at his palace in Accra to thank him and his people for the support given to the bank over the past 70 years.

The GCB delegation also presented customary items to the Ga Mantse to support his activities towards the Homowo Festival of the chiefs and people of the Ga State. The visit, Mr Adomakoh said, was to strengthen the bond of friendship between the bank and the people of the Ga State.

He said the bank had enjoyed a sound corporate environment in the 70 years of its existence, having started operations in Accra before expanding and spreading to other parts of the country.

The MD expressed the gratitude of the bank to the Ga Mantse and the people of Accra for the hospitality and serene business environment that had enabled the bank to thrive and grow as one of the nation’s mainstays in the financial sector.

“We are here to ask for support for peace in our community so that we can make greater investment, particularly in your area of jurisdiction,” Mr Adomakoh said.

He said Greater Accra remained a significant portion of the bank’s business as most of its profits were generated in the region, and that the bank, through corporate social responsibility, also created employment for many people in the region.

Appreciation

The Ga Mantse expressed appreciation to the GCB delegation, saying the Ga State would offer the necessary support to enable corporate organisations to thrive in the area. He said his doors were always open for the necessary discussions with businesses for the mutual benefit of the investors and the communities.

Nii Teiko Tsuru said it was important that other institutions emulated the gesture of the GCB Bank and supported the Ga State, especially in promoting peace because if Greater Accra continued to enjoy peace, businesses operating within the area would continue to grow and the country would develop.

He also urged the public to join the ongoing clean-up exercises in the Ga Traditional Area to make the city clean for people and businesses.
