The incident happened when Frimpomaa was said to have left the college to Techiman to retrieve her missing mobile phone from some unidentified persons. The assailants were said to have stabbed her throat multiple times with a knife and drew her blood.

The naked and lifeless body of the Level 300 student was left in an uncompleted building at Mesidan, a farming community, with her handbag containing her student's identification card and other personal belongings beside the body.

Missing phone

It was not clear whether the deceased misplaced her phone while on her way to school or on campus.

The Daily Graphic gathered that while in the college, she used her colleague's phone to dial her phone number which an unknown person answered and asked her to come to Techiman for the phone.

Initially, she was said to have hesitated to embark on the journey and pleaded with the unknown person to send the phone via a Taxi driver at the Atebubu Lorry Station in Techiman to be delivered to her.

However, the suspects convinced her to come personally for the phone, and she left the college only to meet her untimely death. The police have confirmed the story and said that investigations were ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.

The police led the family of the deceased to the scene of the incident where the body was identified. It was subsequently sent to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital where an autopsy report confirmed that the victim was stabbed multiple times.
