Peace Council member attends G20 interfaith forum
A Member of the National Peace Council (NPC), Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman, is in Brazil to attend the 2024 G20 interfaith Forum.
The forum is co-organised by the International Partnership on Religion and Sustainable Development (PaRD) and the G20 Interfaith Forum (IF20) in collaboration with local partners, the Brazilian Centre of Studies in Law and Religion of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU).

A letter of invitation from the local organising committee of the forum said, “Mr Khuzaima Mohammed Osman's participation in our conference is essential for fostering international collaboration, sharing knowledge, advancing research in the field of religion and sustainable development and enriching the discussions and outcomes of our gathering".
The forum provides an annual platform for a network of religiously affiliated institutions and initiatives to engage with global agendas, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The PaRD, with over 160 members from various sectors including governments, multilateral entities, academia, religious and other civil society organisations from over 40 countries, fosters long-term cooperation to advance the SDGs.

Alhaji Osman is the Executive Secretary of the Tijjaniya Muslims of Ghana, the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the African Literary Club, as well as the managing director of NFC GYM.
In an online interview, Alhaji Khuzaima Osman expressed his delight and appreciation to the organisers for choosing him among many to join internationally recognised interfaith champions and leaders to collaborate in promoting sustainable peace, human rights and development at this year's forum in Brazil.
Alhaji Khuzaima is expected to attend another religious leaders training programme in Baltimore, United States of America at the Al Basheer Seminary after the G20 forum and is expected back in Ghana in the first week of September 2024.
