Kpando SHS old students support alma mater with desks
Members of the 1999 Year-Group of Kpando Senior High School Old Students Association (KOSA’99) have donated 150 mono-desks worth GH¢52,000 to their alma mater as part of activities marking the 25th anniversary of the group.
The President of KOSA’99, William Sitsofe Gonyuie, who presented the furniture last week Saturday, said the gesture was meant to give back a little of what the school had imparted members of the group.

He said KOSA’99 recently supported the school with a mechanised borehole valued at GH¢ 18,000, for the new boys' dormitory, 36 modern teachers’ tables and chairs, in addition to 10 streetlights at a cost of GH¢36,000.
Mr Gonyuie said the group was committed to helping lift the flag of their alma mater to greater heights, saying the members would be in touch with school authorities always, to identity areas requiring priority assistance.
“We will always commit resources and zeal to supporting teaching and learning in the school,” the KOSA’99 president affirmed.
Tribute
Mr Gonyuie paid tribute to the dedicated teachers at the school who, he said, instilled in them the values of hard work and honesty.
The Headmaster, Charles Evans Apreku, who received the items, said the gesture by KOSA’99 was overwhelming and timely.
“The desks came at a time when the school is going through a serious furniture deficit,” he explained.

Mr Apreku said the donation was also relieving as the school was set to admit fresh students who would definitely swell the enrolment.
He expressed gratitude for the donation and urged other past students' associations of the school to support the institution in similar ways.
