GLICO Health Insurance donates GH¢100,000 to Pediatric Oncology Unit of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital

GLICO Health Insurance LTD has GH¢100,000 to the Pediatric Oncology Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) as part of a commitment to pediatric cancer care in Ghana. 

The donation forms part of GLICO Health Insurance’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda and reflects the company’s sustained strategic commitment to improving access to life-saving medical care for vulnerable children and their families. 

Through the support, the company seeks to ease the financial burden associated with cancer treatment and contribute to improved health outcomes for children battling cancer.

The Chief Executive Officer of GLICO Health Insurance LTD, Maame Afriyie Boachie Nelson, speaking during the handing over of the donation, said, GLICO’s continued support for the Lifeline for Childhood Cancer Ghana underscores the belief that every child deserves a fair chance at life, regardless of financial circumstances.

The Executive Director of Lifeline for Childhood Cancer Ghana, Madam Akua Sarpong, expressed appreciation, saying: “we are deeply grateful to GLICO Health Insurance LTD for this continued support. Donations like this play a critical role in ensuring that children undergoing cancer treatment receive the care they need without interruption. This partnership brings hope to many families and strengthens our collective efforts to improve childhood cancer outcomes in Ghana.”

The GH¢100,000.00 donation marks the culmination of a year of impactful community engagement initiatives by GLICO Health Insurance LTD.
