GOIL gives GH¢560,000 to National Disaster Fund

Goil Company Limited has donated GH¢ 560,000 towards the National Disaster Fund.

In a statement , the company said “the Board, Management and Staff of Goil have made a donation of GH¢ 560,000 to the National Disaster Fund, including a total of GH¢60,000, towards the medical care of the affected individuals on admission at the 37 Military Hospital, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and the Police Hospital.

“On behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of Goil, the Chairman, Prof W.A. Asomani, reiterates the commitment of Goil to join hands with all Ghanaians in this challenging times and hopes as citizens, we all contribute our quota to a collective search towards a lasting solution for the nation,” it said.

The statement recalled that last week the Board, Management and Staff of the company had expressed their sorrow at the loss of many lives, including eight of Goil’s own staff members, injured individuals as well as displaced families in the June 3 disaster.

“While commiserating with the bereaved families and the affected, Goil has reemphasised their pledge to assist in any possible way to ease the pain on various fronts as a result of this national tragedy,” it said.
