In a statement issued by the Director General of GSA, Prof Alex Dodoo, it was explained that activities include sensitisation sessions led by technical directorates, covering topics such as quality standards, water quality, and the potential of hydrogen generation for climate change mitigation.

The schedule also features a tour of GSA facilities, a panel discussion on the WSD theme with experts on standards and climate change, and a flag-raising ceremony.

Professor Dodoo explained that World Standards Day, celebrated annually on October 14, aims to raise awareness of the significance of standards and their impact on various aspects of daily life.

The theme for the event, "Shared Vision for a Better World: Standards for the Changing Climate", focuses on how standards can play a critical role in addressing global challenges such as climate change, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.
