Rescue operations to save a construction worker trapped under a collapsed building at the Kasoa New Market in the Central Region have concluded successfully.
It took personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) more than two hours to rescue the victim, who was pinned beneath the debris.
The incident occurred on Saturday, October 11, when an old residential structure reportedly collapsed during renovation works. According to eyewitnesses, the building’s owner had hired masons to reinforce the weak structure while constructing a summer hut within the premises.
