Kumasi Rotary Club donates to Bethel JHS
The Vice-President of the Kumasi branch of the Rotary Club of Ghana, Rotarian Kofi Addo, has called on Ghanaians to complement the government’s efforts to provide educational materials and improve the infrastructure in educational institutions in the country.

That, he said, would help ease the burden on the government and enable students and residents in the hinterlands of the nation to benefit from quality education in the country.
He said there was the need for everyone to help provide the needed teaching and learning materials to equip institutions for the proper training of the youth who were the future leaders of the nation.
Books for Bethel JHS
Rotarian Addo made the call when he led a delegation from the Kumasi Rotary Club to donate 5,000 books to the Bethel Preparatory Junior High School at North Suntreso, a suburb of Kumasi.
The books, estimated at GH¢4000, are made up of e-books, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and assorted novels and are intended to offer the students access to readable materials to enrich their vocabulary, as well as broaden their knowledge.
Mr Addo urged the school authorities to take good care of the books and also ensure that the students had access to the books.
Reading habit
An Assistant Headmaster of the school, Mr Michael Asare, said to help the students to cultivate the habit of reading, the school had instituted ‘read a book a month’ policy.
He commended the President of the Kumasi Rotary Club, Nana Esi Adade Amankwa, for spearheading the provision of the books to stock the school’s library.

After the presentation, the Rotary Club conducted a dental screening for members of the Christ Apostolic International, during which more than 100 people were screened.
