Lancaster Kumasi City wins Best 4-star Hotel at Ashanti Regional awards
The Lancaster Kumasi City has been honoured as the Best Four Star Hotel in the Ashanti Region by the Ghana Tourism Authority during a grand ceremony held in Kumasi to celebrate, recognise and reward excellence in Ghana’s hospitality and tourism Industry.

The first-class African hotel, which is set in the lush tropical gardens in Kumasi, received a certificate of excellence in recognition of its outstanding performance, achievements and development promotion in the region and the nation.
A citation presented to the newly rebranded and refurbished hotel read: “You stand tall as the pride of the garden city when it comes to accommodation establishments in the region. Your magnificent edifice, excellent facilities and strategic location have made you the hub for business meetings, recreation, relaxation and entertainment.
“Your recent takeover and renovation works have resulted in the provision of pristine customer service that meets the expectations of your numerous clients.
Your facility can also boast of unique facilities, is well furnished and can always provide delicious local and continental cuisine that lingers on the taste buds of your clients and has triggered repeated experiences.
“For this sterling achievement, the Ghana Tourism Authority presents the 2024 4-star hotel of the year award to the Lancaster
Kumasi City Hotel at Ridge, Kumasi.”
The General Manager, Basil Hamadeh, expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Tourism Authority for conferring such an honour
on the hotel and also mentioned that the award was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team.
The Ghana Tourism Authority acknowledged Lancaster Kumasi City’s significant contributions to the growth of tourism in the
Ashanti Region, particularly its ability to attract both local and international guests through its diverse offerings, including
premium conference facilities, exquisite dining and other services.
