The inaugural Ghana Media Tech Expo 2025 has come to a close in Accra, marking a good deal in the country's tech industry.
The event, which brought together innovators, entrepreneurs, and media professionals, showcased cutting-edge technology and provided a platform for networking and collaboration when it came off at the Accra Digital Centre on Friday, November 7 and 8, 2025.
The two days event was dedicated to celebrating innovation, creativity and collaboration within Ghana's fast-growing digital media landscape.
Ghana Media Tech Expo is an initiative of popular photographer, Azasoo Andrew, founder and creative director of Encore Media, a photography and multimedia company
According to Mr Azasoo, who is also the lead organiser of Church Media Masterclass, said the main objective of the Tech Expo is to bring creatives and tech experts together, offering a space to learn, connect, and explore the newest media tools and solutions.
Azasoo shared that the event stemmed from his desire to equip creatives, especially church media volunteers, with practical skills and modern tools.
"A lot of volunteers in church media struggle to understand their roles or how to use the tools available to them. Last year we held the Church Media Masterclass with over a thousand participants. This year, we wanted to go beyond training and create a space where creatives can meet brands directly and learn about emerging technologies," he said.
Other resource persons for the two day event were Kwasi Asante Agyapong, Naa Akushika Quaye, McBernard Akpabey, Joojo Daniels, Desmond Ofori Appiah and Solomon Ani.
The others are Frank Osei, Benjamin Tetteh, Godson Tetteh, Paa Kwasi Adu Osei, Augustine Ameyawz Dedzah Dickson Danny and Johnson Asare.
The Expo featured three major platforms, the Creator Stage, the Church Media Zone and the Exhibition & Demo Stage.
At the Creator Stage, participants learned how to build a profitable brand and attract clients through sessions on content creation, photography business development, and personal branding. The workshops focused on practical strategies for success in a competitive industry.
The Church Media Zone offered specialized training on live streaming, church photography, sound, and lighting, helping church media teams boost their production quality and online presence.
At the Exhibition & Demo Stage, top brands showcased the latest tech, allowing attendees to try out new gear and get expert insights from industry pros.
