Meet the new leaders of the NDC Majority in Parliament

Following the appointment of Dr Cassiel Ato Forson as the Minister of Finance, the Majority Caucus in Parliament has undergone a reshuffle in its leadership. The changes aim to fortify the team as they push forward with their governance agenda.

Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has stepped into the role of Majority Leader, taking over from Dr. Forson. Assisting him will be Kweku George Ricketts-Hagan, the MP for Cape Coast South, who has been appointed as the Deputy Majority Leader.

The position of Majority Chief Whip has been filled by Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, the MP for South Dayi, who replaces Governs Agbodza in this critical role.

Additionally, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, representing the Ada Constituency, has been named the First Deputy Whip. Richard Acheampong, MP for Bia East, rounds out the new leadership team as the Second Deputy Majority Whip.

These strategic adjustments are anticipated to improve coordination and bolster the leadership within the caucus, enabling them to better execute their legislative and governance priorities in the Parliament.
