The National Service Authority (NSA) has denied allegations that some prospective service personnel are being offered paid preferential postings, insisting that such claims are entirely false and intended to mislead the public.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the Authority stressed that it neither charges nor accepts any form of payment to influence postings or repostings, noting that all deployments remain merit-based, transparent and fully automated in accordance with national service regulations.
“The NSA does not engage in ‘Special Postings’ nor does it charge personnel money to be posted or reposted to their preferred institutions,” the statement said. It added that individuals or groups demanding money in exchange for favours are engaged in fraud and should be reported to the appropriate security agencies.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining a fair, credible and integrity-driven posting process across the system.
In a related development, the NSA outlined a number of interventions rolled out during the recent registration period to address challenges experienced by some applicants.
The Authority worked with the National Identification Authority and the Ghana Publishing Company to set up a dedicated help desk at the NSA Headquarters to resolve discrepancies in personal details, including changes to names and dates of birth. This collaboration also resulted in a negotiated reduction in gazette service fees to ease the financial burden on personnel.
To streamline administrative processes, the NSA and the Ghana Publishing Company have digitalised the gazette system through an e-gazette platform, allowing personnel to resolve documentation issues online.
Additional support desks have been established at all regional offices, alongside an advanced IT desk at the NSA Headquarters, operational from Monday, December 8. These desks are responsible for addressing outstanding documentation or technical issues ahead of the December 12 registration deadline.
The Authority also announced a structured appointment system aimed at reducing congestion at the headquarters. While personnel may still visit any regional office for assistance, those seeking support at the head office must now book appointment slots using designated phone lines or Google forms.
Applicants with unresolved challenges have been encouraged to contact the NSA Call Centre on 0554404422, 0554400078 or 0554400069, or to schedule virtual or in-person sessions through the online platforms.
The NSA expressed appreciation for the cooperation shown throughout the registration period and assured personnel of its ongoing commitment to a smooth, transparent and accountable deployment process.
