The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects, Yaw Ntoso and Perpetual Ayitey, for possessing large quantities of suspected narcotic drugs at Amankwakrom along the Agordeke–Donkorkrom motor road on November 13, 2025.
According to preliminary investigations, a Police snap check team intercepted a Kia Bongo truck driven by Yaw Ntoso during routine checks.
A thorough search of the vehicle led to the discovery of three white sacks containing 135 compressed slabs of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa, wrapped in yellowish cellotapes. Officers also found an additional 21 oval-shaped parcels containing similar substances.
Both suspects are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations and are expected to be arraigned before court soon.
