The ordination service was on the theme: "Fear Not."

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Reverend Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, in a sermon, reminded the new ministers that they had a responsibility to lead society, particularly their congregants, to live without fear in spite of all the economic and political challenges they were facing.

He said it was unfortunate that anytime there was an election, fear gripped Ghanaians to the extent that people withdrew their monies from banks, bought foods and other important items and hoarded them in their houses for fear of political instability.

Rev Dr Opuni-Frimpong urged the new ministers to preach the message of peace to the people to ensure that they continue to have confidence in the church.

He urged the ministers to make their churches places of comfort, where people who were in a state of fear could go to seek peace.

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey, who officiated at the ordination service, asked the new ministers to selflessly contribute their quota to make the various congregations in the church dynamic.

“You have the task of bringing all members of your congregation into fellowship and helping to educate them to lead sound moral lives.”

He asked them to pray always and seek the face of God which, according to him, was the only way to have a complete communion with God.

The new ministers are Rev Margaret Aboagye, Rev Charles Akyeampong, Rev Emmanuel Osei- Bonsu, Rev Comfort Weah Biney and Rev Janet Oduro Duah-Addo.

The rest are Rev Daniel Tete Abraham Darko, Rev Henry Gyekete, Rev Josephine Akyaiaa Gyekye, Rev Joseph Salifu Kasi, Rev Victoria Ayisi Ntim, Rev Robert Atenka-Ntow and Rev Samuel Adams Okyere.
