A source at the MDC told the Daily Graphic that after failing the examination in his first attempt, Dr Zouhair was given an introductory letter by the MDC to do a practical attachment at the 37 Military Hospital for 20 weeks.

He was once again given another introductory letter by the MDC in February 2016 for another six months practical attachment at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Ghana, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital campus, after he failed the second registration examination.

The source said in March 2017, Dr Zouhair applied for another introductory letter to do another 20 weeks of practical attachment at the Ridge Hospital.

“In June 2017, he requested for another attachment at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Ghana, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, when the period for the attachment at Ridge Hospital had not elapsed. The MDC became suspicious of his movement from one institution to another institution and placed surveillance on him,’’ it said.

It explained that the MDC discovered that Dr Zouhair hardly spent time in the institutions he was purported to be attached to and in some cases he never went for the attachment.
