The motorbikes were donated with the aim of helping the police to fight crime and maintain peace and order in the country.

The Managing Director of Caitec Delta Limited, Mr Tang Hong, who presented the motorbikes, said it was the company’s social responsibility to help the police service to fight and reduce the rate of crime in the country.

He said his outfit would support the police service with additional 10 motorbikes next month to enable it to further improve on its operations.

The Director General of the Public Affairs Department of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP Reverend Neenyi Ampah Bennin, who received the motorbikes, said the police administration considered the community policing concept as crucial in the fight against crime, as it made personnel of the service visible and accessible to the public.

For that reason, he said, the motorbikes would go a long way to help the police in their operations as they strive to instil peace and order in the country.

DCOP Rev. Bennin, therefore, commended Caitec Delta Limited for its kind gesture and urged other corporate organisations to assist the Tesano Community Policing Department to effectively discharge its duties.
