Police arrest 3 over shooting at Sakumono Celebrity Golf Club
The police have arrested three people in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Celebrity Golf Club at Sakumono in Greater Accra, on Friday, October 18, 2025.
The police have named them as namely Abubakar Mohammed, aged 28, Eric Asare, aged 23, and Felix Darko, aged 48.



The Accra Regional Police Command announced on Sunday that investigations have begun into the incident, and efforts are underway to arrest others believed to be involved.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects, "falsely" claimed to be National Security operatives, stormed a construction site belonging to one of the executives of the Celebrity Golf Club, and unlawfully discharged firearms, causing damage to parts of the property.
According to the police, it has been gathered that the attack is linked to an ongoing land dispute involving some parties within the Nungua Traditional Council.
All three suspects are currently in custody, assisting police investigations.
The Accra Regional Police Command in a statement cautioned all individuals and groups to desist from lawlessness, particularly in matters relating to land disputes.
The Celebrity Golf Club, located in Sakumono within the Tema West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, is a well-known recreational facility frequented by both local and international visitors.
