Police arrest 3 over shooting at Sakumono Celebrity Golf Club

The police has arrested three people in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Celebrity Golf Club at Sakumono in Greater Accra, on Friday, October 18, 2025.

The Accra Regional Police Command announced on Sunday that investigations have begun into the incident, and efforts are underway to arrest others believed to be involved.

In a statement, the Police Service said, “The Accra Regional Police Command has commenced investigations into a shooting incident that occurred yesterday, October 18, 2025, at the Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono, Accra.”

The statement added, “Three persons have so far been arrested in connection with the incident, while efforts are ongoing to arrest any other persons involved.”

The Police Service did not disclose details about the circumstances leading to the shooting, the identities of those arrested, or whether there were any casualties.

It noted that investigations are ongoing and that further updates will be shared in due course.

The Celebrity Golf Club, located in Sakumono within the Tema West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, is a well-known recreational facility frequented by both local and international visitors.
