Three injured Ghanaians in Middle East conflict recovering well in UAE – Ablakwa
Three Ghanaians who were injured in the United Arab Emirates as a result of the recent Middle East conflict are rtrecovering quite well, Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said announced during a working visit to the UAE.
In a statement, he disclosed that he had been checking on the welfare of Ghanaians in the UAE and was delighted to have met Philip Degbevi, who has made a full recovery after sustaining injuries from a missile attack at Dubai Airport.
"I am equally glad to report that all three Ghanaians who were injured in the UAE as a result of the recent Middle East conflict are recovering quite well," Mr Ablakwa stated.
He commended UAE authorities for their kind support for all the Ghanaian victims.
"We are committed to ensuring that all victims are adequately compensated," Mr Ablakwa said.
"The Mahama Administration is determined to extend consular assistance and empathy to the victims and all Ghanaians living in the Gulf countries at this period of heightened hostilities."
The Minister also met with the leadership of the Ghanaian community and assured them of the strong solidarity of their government in these turbulent times.
