RETRACTION AND APOLOGY TO PROF KWESI ANING

This article has been updated with a video to reflect the exact words used by Prof Kwesi Aning when he spoke on Joy FM’s Newsfile programme on Saturday, [Oct 11, 2025]. An earlier version of this article had wrongly attributed words to the security analyst, which did not come from him.

Graphic Online retracts the previously published story with the title "People can sit in Accra and say galamsey fight is succeeding, but if rivers remain brown and forest canopy keeps shrinking, then it is only talk - Prof Aning".
