What’s on for watchnight?

Churches over the country will tonight, hold night vigil services to usher in the New Year.

That has been a practice over the years when prayers are said by Christians in anticipation of the New Year.

Maker’s House Chapel

The Maker’s House Chapel International would hold its vigil service to usher in the new year of “Extreme Grace” at the Destiny Factory, Point 1, off the Kwabenya road from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Rev Michael Boadi Nyamekye will deliver the sermon.

Jubilee International Church

The Jubilee International Church at Pig Farm will hold its watchnight service on the theme “2015, Our Year of Victory” from 8 p.m. Speakers at the service include the resident pastor, Rev Nii Arku Odoi, Rev Charles Mawutor and Rev Prosper Agumey with Bishop Doris Akumiah hosting.

Grace Methodist Church

At the Grace Methodist Church at Sakaman, the Very Rev Ebenezer Grantson will lead the watchnight service which is expected to start at 9 p.m.

Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry

Rev Steve Mensah’s Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM) will also hold its all night service christened “Change Over” at North Legon, near the Wisconsin University from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

ICGC

The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) will hold its annual ‘Cross Over’ at the Accra Sports Stadium from 8:30 p.m. to midnight 

Christian Praise

The Christian Praise International Centre at Pig Farm will start its service from 9 p.m.

Royal House Chapel

Service at the Royal House Chapel International near the Obetsebi Lamptey Circle will start from 8 p.m. 

At the Mount Olivet Methodist Church and the J.C. Memorial Methodist Church both at Dansoman, service will start from 10 p.m.

Bethel Worship Centre

The Church of Pentecost, Bethel Worship Centre at Lartebiokorshie, will start its service from 8 p.m. till day break and the New Hope Universal Church at Dansoman will hold its night vigil from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The sermon will be delivered by Father Francis Otuo Serebour.

Perez Dome

The Perez Dome of the Perez Chapel International at Dzorwulu will hold its vigil from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight.

Action Chapel

The Action Chapel International, under the leadership of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, will start its service from 10 p.m. at the Prayer Cathedral on the Spintex Road.

Christ Embassy

At the Independence Square, Christ Embassy will hold an all-night service from 7 p.m. to 12 midnight and Rev Kofi Annan is expected to deliver the sermon at the watch night service of the Hope Baptist Church at Fishpond, Abeka Lapaz which starts from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Christ Vision Sanctuary

Prophet Louis Macaiah will deliver the sermon at the Christ Vision Sanctuary International located at Kisseiman from 8:30 p.m. to 12:10 a.m. under the theme “Abundant Grace to Crossover”.

Spirit Life Revival Ministry

It will be a night of prophetic takeover at the Spiritlife Revival Ministries at the National Theatre where Prophet Bernard Nelson Eshun will deliver the defining destiny sermon. The programme starts from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
