Woman found in septic tank at Kasoa
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has launched a recovery operation following reports that a woman is suspected to have fallen into a septic tank at Kasoa in the Central Region.
According to the GNFS, a distress call was received at 5:49 pm regarding the incident. Firefighters from the Kasoa Fire Station were immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene at 6:06 pm at Obom Road, near the Blue Kiosk Bus Stop.
Upon arrival, the rescue team found a water-filled septic tank, with information indicating that the woman may have fallen into it several days earlier.
The GNFS personnel have since secured the area and are awaiting police assistance to enable the safe retrieval of the body.
The operation remains ongoing, and authorities say further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
