Wreath laying to mark June 4 Anniversary Saturday

A wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the Revolution Square, Accra on Saturday, June 4 to mark the 37th anniversary of the June 4 Uprising.

A statement issued by the Planning Committee of this anniversary said the occasion will be held on the theme, “Revolution, The Hard Road To Democracy”, and will be addressed by former President Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings, leader of the uprising and the 31st December, 1981 Revolution.

Other leading members and cadres of the Uprising and the Revolution will also address the occasion, the statement said.

It urged all who are attending the event, including cadres, sympathisers of the revolution, members of the general public and the media to be assembled by 7am to ensure a prompt start of the short memorial event.
