Alan Kyerematen congratulates Mahama, NDC on 2024 election victory

Founder and leader of the Movement for Change and Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has extended his congratulations to former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on their success in the 2024 elections.

In a statement, Mr Kyerematen acknowledged that while the Electoral Commission (EC) has yet to formally declare the results, it is clear that the Ghanaian electorate has made their choice.

He called on all Ghanaians to respect the will of the people once the official announcement is made, stressing the importance of maintaining the nation's peace and stability.

"Although the Electoral Commission is yet to formally declare the elections, it is very clear that the people of Ghana have spoken. I urge all Ghanaians to accept the decision of the Ghanaian electorate once the official results are released, in order to preserve the peace of our dear nation," the statement read.

Mr Kyerematen also commended the responsible conduct of all presidential and parliamentary candidates, noting that their actions contributed to making the 2024 elections one of the most peaceful in Ghana’s history.

"I wish in the same vein to commend all Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates for their responsible conduct which has without doubt, made this year's General Elections one of the most peaceful in our nations history," the statement added.

While acknowledging the unfortunate incidents that marred the electoral process, Mr Kyerematen expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and extended sympathies to those who were injured during the elections.

"Let us all remember that there are no winners or losers in this election. It is Ghana that has emerged victorious, through the mercy and grace of our Living God," he added. Read statement below.
