Dr Bawumia justifies NPP's second term bid
The Vice-President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has justified why the New Patriotic Party (NPP) needs to be given a second term to continue with its developmental and transformational agenda.
Creating a scenario of an irresponsible ex-husband and a new-found compassionate and caring one in the person of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the vice-president called on the people of New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region to reject ex-President John Mahama in his bid to be re-elected as President on December 7, 2020, because he (Mahama) was a "reckless husband" during his first term in office.
Durbar
He was addressing a durbar organised in his honour on the first leg of his four-day tour of the Ashanti Region at New Edubiase.

From the restoration of nursing allowance through to the provision of free water and electricity during biting period of the COVID 19 pandemic, Dr Bawumia said it would be suicidal to give Mr Mahama a second opportunity because he mismanaged the economy under his watch.
He promised the people to improve their mobile connectivity reception and improve their road works.
In an electrifying atmosphere charged by an exciting crowd, Dr Bawumia said the opposition NDC's 28-year parliamentary dominance in the area could not be compared with the NPP's four years in the area.
He told the people that the December 7 election was about the future of Ghana and the need to put it into the hands of President Akufo-Addo.
Chief
The Chief of New Edubiase, Oguahyia Oduro Panin Birikorang, appealed to the vice-president for a library to improve the reading culture and the general academic performance in the area.
He said following the introduction of the free SHS programme, enrolment in schools had increased which needed to be matched with improved facility.
