Election 2024: Mahama seeks guidance and strength at his father's grave

The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, took a moment to visit his father's grave in Bole-Bamboi before casting his vote in the ongoing elections.

The visit, deeply rooted in tradition, highlighted Mahama's cultural values and personal beliefs.

After the emotional gesture, Mahama spoke to the press, explaining that praying to one's ancestors was a significant aspect of his heritage, especially during times of uncertainty.

"In times of anxiety, seeking guidance and strength from our ancestors is a meaningful tradition," Mahama shared, emphasising his deep connection to his roots.

For him, the visit was not only a personal act of reverence but also a way to honour his family's legacy. It resonated with many, underscoring the significance of cultural practices even amid a hectic political life.

After his prayers, Mahama joined other voters in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency to exercise his democratic right.
