Ensure tolerance among supporters — Mama Kumavie

The newly installed sub-queenmother of Gbi Kledzo in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region, Mama Kumavie III, has called for tolerance among supporters of the various political parties for peaceful co-existence.

Mama Kumavie III, known in private life as Ms Lucy Sena Morny,  observed that supporters of the various political parties were intolerant, which is not auguring well for Ghana’s democracy.

Qualified Ghanaians

Mama Kumavie III, 30, an Accra-based businesswoman, observed that many qualified Ghanaians, especially senior citizens, were sitting on the fence because of the turbulent and vicious nature of politics in the country.

 Mama Kumavie III, therefore, urged the citizenry to be tolerant before, during and after the December 7 election to maintain the peace in the area.

Oath of allegiance

When she swore the oath of allegiance to the divisional queenmother of Gbi-Kledzo, Mama Meemeseo II, Mama Kumavie III promised to establish and maintain mutual relationship, unity and understanding among the various citizens and youth groups in the area.

Coronation

The coronation ceremony was witnessed  by Togbe Deh II, Chief of Gbi-Kledzo; Togbe Kle III, sub-chief of Gbi-Kledzo; Togbe Osae III, chief of Gbi-Godenu; Mama Madzitey, sub-queenmother of Gbi-Wegbe; Mama Ablabosi, sub-queenmother  of Gbi-Wegbe,and Mr Eric Morgadzi, Asafoatsega of the Gbi Traditional Area.

Mama Kumavie III succeeded her grandmother, Mama Kumavie II, who was known in private life as Madam Agnes Morny. She ruled for 60 years.
