Tano North constituency to get 30 new water facilities
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano North in the Ahafo Region, Dr Gideon Boako, is set to construct 30 water projects to resolve the water crisis in the area.
The proposed water project, dubbed: "Borehole Project", will include mechanised boreholes and hand pumps.
The initiative is expected to provide clean water to 30 water crisis and deprived communities in the Tano North Constituency.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the MP himself explaining that all the 30 boreholes were expected to be completed in two months.

"It is expected that all the boreholes will be ready for use in two months' time," the statement said.
The statement said the ambitious borehole project was targeted at resolving water challenges that had frustrated residents over the past years.
It said the intervention was in fulfilment of Dr Boako's campaign promise made to the deprived communities during the 2024 general election.
The statement said the MP believed the current situation of the communities required urgent attention to preserve lives and dignity to the affected residents.
It said when completed, the beneficiary communities would no longer be commuting long distances in search of water or be competing with animals for water.
It called on all citizens in the Tano North to join hands with the MP and prayed for more of such developmental projects to enhance the lives of the citizens.
