We believe in your leadership, vision for Ghana - Nadowli/Kaleo chiefs assure Dr Bawumia
The five Paramount Chiefs in the Nadowli/Kaleo District in the Upper West Region have affirmed their confidence in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's ability to competently lead the nation to an enhanced level of development.
They have, therefore, pledged their support to the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the December 7, 2024 election. The traditional authorities expressed these in a speech read on their behalf when Dr Bawumia engaged the chiefs and opinion leaders in the district as part of his constituency-focused nationwide campaign tour at Nadowli last Wednesday.

The paramount chiefs were from Nadowli, Takpo, Charipkong, Kaleo and Sankana.
Accessibility
They enumerated the many development projects the district had received in recent times including the upgrading of feeder roads, construction of bridges and gravelling of roads.
Those developments, they emphasised, had significantly improved accessibility and facilitated economic activities.
To demonstrate their appreciation for those projects, the chiefs promised to vote for Dr Bawumia to continue the good works being undertaken by the NPP government.
"Mr Vice-President, we pledge the support of the chiefs and good people of the Nadowli Kaleo Constituency to vote massively for you to become the President of the Republic of Ghana.
We believe in your leadership and vision for our nation," they declared.

While wishing Dr Bawumia “a successful campaign and look forward to your presidency," the chiefs appealed to the Vice President to help grant small scale mining concessions to the youth to boost livelihoods.
They also appealed for the establishment of a health training institution in the district as well as a mortuary to help with the preservation of corpses.
On his part, Dr Bawumia reiterated his promise to facilitate the review of Section 63 (D) of the Chieftaincy Act to grant more adjudicatory powers to traditional authorities to enhance justice delivery.
He explained that many disputes could be resolved in palaces instead of the courts, thereby speeding up justice delivery. He also pledged to pay a living wage to paramount and divisional chiefs and their queens when elected as President.

Nandom
Addressing party supporters in Nandom at another engagement, Dr Bawumia urged voters to reject former President John Mahama, describing the NDC flagbearer as “someone who represents the past of the country”.
He said the former President had no better policies for Ghanaians to improve their livelihoods.
“John Mahama represents the past of this country and Dr Bawumia represents the future of this country as well…so forget about him and choose the future,“ he told the ecstatic NPP supporters.
