Win more seats for New Patriotic Party - Joe Ghartey urges Upper West youth
The Minister of Railways Development, Mr Joe Ghartey, has called on members of the youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stay united and work hard to win more votes for the party in the 2020 general elections.
Addressing a conference of the youth wing of the Upper West regional branch of the party in Wa last Saturday, Mr Ghartey urged the youth to intensify the campaign in the region to propel the party into victory, saying that there should be less talk and more action.
He said the party, from all indications, was the best to govern the country and as such should not be swayed by the propaganda of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“There should be no unnecessary infighting and bickering within the youth ranks of the party since that will do more harm than good in the future. The future of the country is bright”, he said amid cheers from the delegates.
The conference, put together by the regional youth organisers of the party, was also meant to mobilise the youth and get them prepared for the task ahead to retain the NPP in power, in the 2020 elections.
House-to-house
The Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, said the focus of the party executive was to capture at least seven out of the 11 constituency seats, including the Wa Central seat.
He advised the youth to embark on a house-to-house campaign so that the message could get to every nook and cranny of the region.
The National Youth Organiser, Mr Henry Nana Boakye, said the youth would be resourced, including providing them with motorbikes to facilitate their activities.
He said the government was delivering on its campaign promises of improving on the lives of the citizenry, especially the youth.
