The deputy youth organiser positions, which was keenly contested by seven aspirants, saw Hajia Habiba Osmannu Muah and  Godwin Kudzo Tamakloe winning the first and second deputy youth organiser positions with 98 and 76 votes respectively.

Mr Abdul Manaf Walker came third with 70 votes, Bembella Nii Odoi 9 , Bismark Abode Allegra 7 while Anthony Quist and Joseph Kennedy Frimpong had one vote each.

The conference, which was well attended, attracted NDC stalwarts seeking positions at both the national and regional levels, who came to court the friendship of the 136 delegates.

The stalwarts included Mr Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, aspiring Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Gifty Emefa  Sika Nartey, first  Greater Accra  Regional Vice  Chairman, and Harry Zakour, aspiring National Vice Chairman.

The delegates were drawn from Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) and youth organisers from the 34 constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.

Mr Joseph Ade Coker, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of  NDC, who chaired the conference, said  it had been one of the successful youth organisers conference the party had ever held in the region.

He said the successful conduct of the conference  epitomised his leadership skills and commitment to the welfare of the party in the region.

He added that it also showcased the better agenda for the youth in the party since the conference was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere without rancour.

He, therefore, urged the delegates to endorse his re-election bid, come Saturday, for him to continue with the unfinished job of seeking the total welfare of the youth in the region to make them a force to reckon with in the 2016 election.
