I understand hardship because I have experienced it - Bawumia
The presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has said his empathy for the less privileged comes from his personal experiences of hardship, having once struggled to make ends meet.
Dr. Bawumia shared that he had previously worked as a taxi driver, cleaner, farm labourer, and a day labourer, which gave him a deep understanding of the difficulties many Ghanaians face.
