Mr Demordzi said he was touched by the association’s initiative to maintain peace, law and order in Amanfro and offered to assist it to achieve its dream.

“To fulfil my dream, I facilitated the acquisition of a parcel of land from the Chief of Ngleshie Amanfro, Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, for the project,” he said.

He also commended the association for its initiative and pledged to support it to complete the project.

Mr Daniel Addo, Chairman of the Association, said Top Town and its environs did not have any police post and armed robbers had taken advantage of that to harass residents.

He stated that after several robbery attacks they decided to put up a police post and through the assistance of the MP the chief of Ngleshie Amanfro released a plot of land for the project.

He added that the single-storey building project was scheduled to be completed in a year and appealed to other corporate bodies and non-governmental organisations to assist the association to achieve the target.

Mr Addo said policing was a shared responsibility and urged all, including those outside the area, to assist.
