NDC, NPP candidates express satisfaction with ongoing polls at Ningo-Prampram

Benjamin Xornam Glover reports from Prampram that two out of the five aspirants contesting the Ningo-Prampram constituency have indicated that they are satisfied with elections process so far in the area.

Mr Samuel Nartey George of the NDC, Sylvester Tetteh of the NPP in separate interviews with Graphiconline on Wednesday afternoon said the exercise has generally been peaceful.

Speaking to Graphic Online at the Dzidas Cinema Hall 2B polling station at Old Ningo, the NPP parliamentary candidate said he and his team are happy with the process and so far no incident has been reported to him by his agents.

The NDC's Samuel Nartey George who was spotted at the St Joseph Anglican Primary A polling station at Prampram, expressed his satisfaction with the process.

Polls generally opened at exactly 7am across most of the polling stations in the Ningo-Prampram constituency.

However, some few polling stations opened thirty minutes late due to late arrivals of materials and officials of the EC.

According to the District Director of the EC, Mr Charles Botchwey elections are taking place in 93 polling stations with an estimated 60,009 voters expected to cast their ballot.

The other candidates contesting the Ningo-Prampram constituency seat are Messrs Cashmire Nii Okai Mensa of the Progressive People's Party, Richard Nartey, 32 and Frederick Marmah Martey, 56.
