NPP - Paul Afoko’s vetting is on hold

The New Patriotic Party says it has put the vetting of the party’s national chairman aspirant, Mr. Paul Afoko on hold until further notice.

Consequently, balloting for national chairman slot has also been suspended.

The party last week vetted aspirants to national executive positions and says it will soon announce the date for balloting for positions for qualified contestants.

A statement by the party’s National Election Vetting Committee says the event will be held at the party headquarters in Accra.

However, the party said five persons were not successful due to their inability to exhibit enough knowledge of the party which high office they sought to occupy.

The five are:

  1. Fred Kwaku Amankwa Sarfo-Vice Chairman
  2. Philomena Serwaa Akoto Sam-Vice Chairperson
  3. Hajia Fati Amadu-Vice Chairperson
  4. Kamal – deen Abdullai-National Nasara Coordinator
  5. Charles Adu Gyamfi-National Youth Organizer

“They may appeal to the National Election Appeals Committee latest by 4pm on Monday 17th February 2014 if they wish to do so.”
